About the play:

Caryl Churchill is widely considered one of the world’s greatest living playwrights. In Escaped Alone, which premiered in 2016, she captures suffering on scales both commonplace and cataclysmic, but with her singular dark humor, suggests the possibility of comfort found in community. As NYT critic Ben Brantley wrote, this is a “short and wondrous play that plumbs the depths of 21st century terrors, large and small,” but one which has the “effect of a restorative tonic,” leaving you with a “new bounce in your step.”
