A short play by Emily Wilson – crafted from Wilson’s translation of Homer’s Odyssey

Directed by Brooke O’Harra

Performed by a company of professional actors and Penn students

Please join us for an evening with Emily Wilson’s (Professor of Classical Studies) much lauded translation of the Odyssey. After the War: An Odyssey is a play focused on Odysseus after the war. In this script adaptation of her translation Wilson brings to life Odysseus the veteran living in the aftermath of the war and his homecoming to Penelope.

This performance is part of Classical Studies Colloquium Series and The Theatre Arts Program’s 2018/19 Season.
