Cameron Kelsall is a Philadelphia-based critic and journalist. He has written for the Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Gay News, American Theatre Magazine, Broad Street Review, TheaterMania, Exeunt NYC, Opera News, and other publications. He is Vice Chair of the American Theatre Critics Association and Co-Chair of the Steinberg/ATCA New Play Award, the largest cash prize given in American playwriting. Cameron holds a Master of Arts from Ohio University. He and David Fox jointly run the arts blog Reclining Standards; in Fall 2023, they developed and team-taught “21st Century Musical Theatre” at Penn.
