Visiting Lecturer in Theatre Arts

Angela is a performer, theatre artist, and educator based in the Philadelphia area. Recently, Angela performed on stage in Philly Theatre Weeks' Miniball Festival Almost Ready and with Shakespeare On Tap in Romeo and Juliet for Philly Fringe Festival. Angela has toured regionally with The National Theatre for Children. She has performed and directed in a variety of devised and traditional plays over the past decade in Philadelphia and her hometown of Pittsburgh. During her time in Pittsburgh, Angela performed with Throughline Theatre Company, Applehill Playhouse, Hambones Theatre, Glitterbox, and New Kensington Theatre. She also performed regularly on two house improv teams, Penny Arcade and Random Encounters, at Arcade Comedy theater. Angela has trained in Sweden with Teater Sláva and performed in the Huddinge Summer Festival. Angela teaches acting and directing at Dickinson College. She also teaches young children and adults with Theatre Horizon.  Angela received her MFA in devised ensemble performance from the Pig Iron School/University of the Arts. She holds a BA in theatre and dance from James Madison University and a certificate of inclusive teaching practices from Columbia University's EdX program. Angela serves as a board member of Philly Children's Theatre.
