Theatre Arts is pleased to announce the award of  The Cabanne C. Smith Undergraduate Research Award 

 

to senior Theatre Arts graduating senior Nicole Sadaniantz for her successful Honors Thesis Project in Acting. Nicole's research was focused on her role as the character Julia in Theatre Arts' fall production of FEFU AND HER FRIENDS, by Maria Irene Fornes, directed by Dr. Marcia Ferguson.

The  Cabanne C. Smith Undergraduate Research Award is administered through the College of Arts and Sciences and provides a maximum $1,000 prize to the annual winner. Theatre Arts offers the opportunity for honors thesis projects in both academic and practice-based topics. Recent honors thesis projects include topics in acting, directing, design and dramaturgy.
